24 suspects in the "first" Kulcsár trial

Charges have been filed against Attila Kulcsár and 20 other suspects, but prosecutors have only named there of them. HVG.hu can reveal the names of all 24.

Sándor Ihász, the Metropolitan Chief Prosecutor, announced the charges at a press conference, naming only Kulcsár, the former MD of K&H Equities, Tibor E Rejtő, former CEO of K&H Bank and Csaba Kerék, the former MD of Britton Kft.
 
Most of the suspects are charged with embezzlement, money laundering, bribery, receiving stolen goods and being an accessory to a crime, though the charges were not linked with individuals at the press conference. The charge sheets will be placed on the Prosecutor's Office website within a few days.
 
Around HUF23bn was embezzled, the resulting damage is valued at HUF8.3bn. Much of this - a total of HUF6.3bn, the entire assets of seven of the suspects - is currently frozen. The investigation has cost HUF14m so far, according to Richárd Szoboslai, the deputy Metropolitan Chief Prosecutor.
 
Fourteen investigations are currently in progress into the K&H affair: the National Office of Investigations is conducting three investigations relating to money laundering, two relating to insider trading, one relating to dishonest dealings, and a further investigation into forging of public documents.
 
The Central Prosecutor's Office of Investigations, which is charged with investigations against MPs is conducting three bribery investigations and one into insider trading. Budapest Police are also dealing with two K&H related cases, both relating to forgery of public documents.
