A színpadon két nő. Egyenrangú társak, mindketten táncosok, mindketten koreográfusok. Egyikük Christine de Smedt, a Les Ballets C. de la B. táncosa. Salamon Eszter a másik. Utóbbit világszerte úgy ismerik, hogy Eszter Salamon, hiszen a budapesti Táncművészeti Főiskola elvégzése és az akkor Markó Iván vezette Győri Balettnél tett rövid kitérő után, más irányt vett alkotói pályája. Először Franciaországban, majd Németországban dolgozott, most a legismertebb fesztiválok és táncközpontok ( Kunstenfestivaldesarts, Choreographischen Zentrum Pact Zollverein) megrendelésre készíti új darabjait. Ma Nagy József után szerte világon ő az egyik legismertebb magyar táncos, koreográfus. Most először szerepel önálló művel Magyarországon.

A Dance N° 1 - egy sorozat második állomása: Salamon Eszter folytatja a 2006-os Nvsbl című darabjával megkezdett kutatást. Gondolkodásának középpontjában a speciális testgyakorlatokon (Body-Mind Centering, stb.) alapuló testi kifejezések technológiája áll, a megfigyelés folyamata, a képzelőerő, az érzékelés és a testrendszerek memóriája.

A darabot és kifejezésmódját a belső fizikai kompozíciós munka sokkal jobban meghatározza, mint a szereplők, illetve az ő pszichológiai állapotuk.

Dance #1 / Driftworks is a continuation of the research Eszter Salamon began in Nvsbl (in technology of body expressions, based on specific body practices (Body-Mind Centering etc) and processes of observation, imagination, sensation and memory of various "body-systems". The expressions result from the internal physical compositional work more than from representing characters and psychological states in their image.

Eszter Salamon is a Hungarian choreographer living in Berlin. Following her classical dance studies at the National Academy of Dance in Budapest, she moves to France in 1992 and works with choreographers such as Mathilde Monnier and Francois Verret.

Since 2001, she creates her own work: the solos What A Body You Have, Honey (2001) and Giszelle (2001) in collaboration with Xavier le Roy for ‘Le vif du sujet’ at the Festival d'Avignon and the group pieces Reproduction (2004) at Podewil, Berlin where she is artist-in-residence, Magyar Tàncok (2005) with Hungarian folk dancers and musicians at «Les Intranquilles» festival in Lyon, the quartet Nvsbl (2006) at the PACT Zollverein, Essen, the film-choreography AND THEN (2007) at Les Subsistances, Lyon and the concert-performance Without You I Am Nothing (2007) in collaboration with Aranxta Martinez. Her latest work, Dance#1/ Driftworks, duo with Christine De Smedt, is created at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts08, Brussels. In 2008, she participates in 6Month1Location, an artistic research project based on self-organisation and self-education at the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier.
